Develop and implement global corporate strategy towards new and innovative technologies by monitoring industry

Direct and coordinate internal teams to develop and bring to market new solutions and coach the account teams on
associated sales strategy. Engage key high-value opportunities to provide expertise, guidance and leadership to the
customer for coordination across Openet departments for effective sales, marketing and delivery.
Key Accomplishments
· Architected and developed the technical, marketing and sales strategy for Openet Congestion Management
Solution. Brought the solution to market to multiple global Tier 1 accounts resulting in a 420% ROI over 6
months followed by a $35M+ initial year pipeline. Directed multiple Openet departments to transition the
solution to a robust and mature RAN Congestion Application Function (RCAF) per 3GPP standards.
· Led market strategy to address our solution set within a Software Defined Network (SDN) in order to address
operators transitioning to 5G networks. Worked with Solutions Group and CTO to determine industry
requirements and successfully developed a Generic VNF-Manager (Openet Weaver).
Technical Sales Director
(2010 – 2014)
Responsible for reviewing and directing account strategy and verifying technical proposals across account teams in the
Americas and APAC. Acted as the sole manager of all technical strategy and proposals relating to Sprint and jointly
determined strategy for Softbank with the APAC account team. Provided expertise and guidance to clients relating to
3GPP Policy and Charging Control (PCC), VoLTE, IMS, device policy and interaction (Android), Network Function
Virtualization (NFV), Cloud computing for PaaS and SaaS, and Big Data strategy for telecommunications networks.
Key Accomplishments
· Architected and sold first Interaction Gateway (IG) solution to extend policy enforcement to the handset (Sprint
2012). IG provided the capability to extend policy decisions and enforcement beyond the core network
infrastructure to the handset. Structured an initial $4M license deal with an $80M licensing framework.
· Provided technical expertise and commercial guidance to close the Openet PCRF sell to Sprint (2011) for $20M.
Post solution deployment software faults were discovered in the PCRF contributing to the October 2012 and
January 2013 crash of Sprint’s LTE network resulting in Sprint Executives deciding to replace Openet. Reversed
this decision by planning and architecting a hardening of the solution through a package of core software updates,
new hardware and redesign of core network control plane flows while working all relationships within Sprint to
convince that the conflict had been resolved. Sprint completed the redesign “Get Well Plan” in October 2014.

Constituent of a two man Sales Engineering team supporting all accounts across the Americas that effectively grew
the Openet client base while establishing pipelines that became Openet’s primary revenue contributors. Responded
to RFPs, led technical presentations, hosted workshops and determined technical strategy and commercial
implications for the FusionWorks Product Portfolio (Mediation, Offline Charging/OFCS, Online Charging/OCS,
Policy and Charging Rules Function/PCRF). Mentored new SE resources across North and South America.

· Expanded Openet’s client portfolio by providing the technical guidance and strategy to penetrate into new
business verticals and close Openet’s first Canadian client (Aliant Mobility 2004), first LATAM client (Nextel
International 2005), first MSO (Time Warner Cable 2006), first OCS (Bell Canada 2008) and first Tier 1 PCRF
(AT&T 2008) producing a year on year pipeline contributing to 70% of Openet’s overall revenue.
